Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency
Did you know that the Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency (CFSSA/Hanfa) has established an Innovation Hub? The (CFSSA/Hanfa) regulates non-banks and payment services which are regulated by the Croatian National Bank (see below). Through the Innovation Hub financial services (banks, MiFID, funds, payments/emoney), insurance, fintech, regtech and open banking firms can obtain informal support, advice or guidelines in order to understand their position within the regulatory framework and to determine regulatory, supervisory and legal issues that are of significance to the project. Croatia National Bank
Did you know that the Croatian National Bank (CNB) has established an Innovation Hub? It responds to queries of business entities and exchanges fintech-related information within the CNB's competence. Depending upon the facts, the CNB says it will provide adequate support or appropriate guidelines. A summary of what the Innovation Hub does:

- provides support in the application of the regulatory framework within the CNB's areas of competence, i.e. supervision, oversight and licensing with regard to innovations related to the provision of banking or payment services. The Innovation Hub is based on a number of principles:
- communication confidentiality (the information and documents received by business entities are treated as confidential),
- communication informality (the communicated views and opinions are preliminary, nonbinding and informal),
- specificity (communication is related to a specific case and communicated views and opinions may change in line with new insights, business circumstances or changes in the wider regulatory framework),
- timeliness of reply (depending on the content and the complexity of the query, every effort will be made to reply within the shortest time possible).

Banks and Fintech in Croatia (Authorised/Regulated/Registered)
- 3 payments institutions authorised by the CNB
- 3 account information service providers registered by the CNB
- 5 electronic money institutions authorised by the CNB
- 1 small electronic money institutions registered by the CNB
- 20 authorised banks authorised by the CNB
- 1 banks operating under the Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development Act supervised by the CNB
- 1 authorised housing savings bank authorised by the CNB
- 17 virtual assets (or what are called in Croatia 'Obliged Entities') that notified the CFSSA/Hanfa that they provide exchange services between virtual currencies and fiat currencies and/or the provision of custodian wallet services.
